Current status
Environmental protection and sustainability are important topics for us; therefore, we welcome the new EUDR regulation and are actively preparing for its implementation. On 2 October 2024, the European Commission submitted a proposal to postpone the entry into force of the EU Deforestation Regulation by 12 months (more information available here).
Over the past year, we have been actively preparing to meet the EUDR requirements. On 23 September 2025, the European Commission announced its intention to delay the application of the regulation by another year. The reason is the findings from testing — the central EUDR information system needs to be further developed and stabilised due to the large volume of transmitted data (more information available here).
We believe that this additional time will allow everyone to prepare thoroughly for the effective implementation of the new regulation.
Our customers can expect our full support and adaptation to the new requirements. The latest information will always be available on our website.
Our steps towards sustainability
Even before the proposal of this regulation, we had already begun implementing a number of environmentally focused initiatives in our printing house.
From Forest to Book — Responsibly
-
Our commitment to sustainable forest management is confirmed by PEFC™ and FSC® certifications, which allow us to offer our customers papers with verified origin, in compliance with environmental protection regulations.
Innovation in printing
-
We invest in new printing machines; for example, the new HP T250 press has replaced an older machine and significantly reduced energy and gas consumption.
We measure, Reduce, Compensate
-
Since 2019, we have been working closely with Preferred by Nature to measure and reduce our carbon footprint. In 2023, we obtained a certification that allows us to offer our customers the compensation of the carbon footprint of their printing projects.
Renewable Energy in Printing House Operations
-
We invest in renewable energy sources, and since 2010, we have been generating a portion of the electricity needed for our printing house using photovoltaic panels.
We Sort and Recycle
-
Thorough waste sorting and its eco-friendly processing in cooperation with certified companies remain our priority. With the introduction of new recycling bins, all employees are now actively participating in sorting. In addition, we are gradually installing energy-efficient LED lighting throughout the building.
Our Little Sheep: Small Joy, Smart Savings
-
Did you know that we also have our own sheep grazing on the land next to our company building? These sheep not only help save the energy needed for mowing the grass but also boost our employees’ mood and strengthen their positive connection to nature and respect for all living things.
Sustainability as a Direction
For us, sustainability and ecology represent not only a commitment but also an opportunity for growth and innovation, which is why they are an integral part of all our decisions and activities.
